Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Drama and Theater Teacher to inspire students through the performing arts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in theater, acting, and stage production, along with a commitment to fostering creativity and confidence in students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement an engaging theater curriculum that aligns with international standards.
- Conduct acting, scriptwriting, voice modulation, and improvisation lessons.
- Organize and direct school plays, skits, and drama competitions.
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate drama into interdisciplinary learning.
- Guide students in developing public speaking, storytelling, and stage presence.
- Manage stage productions, including script selection, rehearsals, costumes, and set design.
- Encourage students to participate in external theater events and competitions.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them grow in performance and confidence.
- Maintain an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Theater Arts, Performing Arts, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience teaching drama/theater to school students (IB/International curriculum experience preferred).
- Strong acting, directing, and stage management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passionate about working with children and fostering creativity.
- Experience in lighting, sound, and technical aspects of theater is a plus.
