Position Summary:
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) at [School Name] is responsible for managing the school’s external communications and fostering relationships with the local and international community. Key Responsibilities:
Media Relations and Communication:
- Serve as the school’s primary spokesperson for offline media, including newspapers, radio, and television outlets.
- Develop press releases, statements, and informational kits for media distribution.
- Build relationships with local, regional, and national media representatives to secure coverage for school events, programs, and achievements.
- Monitor print media for school-related coverage and ensure that the school's presence is portrayed positively.
School Branding and Offline Marketing:
- Lead offline marketing efforts, such as creating brochures, flyers, and promotional material to be distributed at local events, education fairs, and within the community.
- Organize school events, including open houses, school fairs, and parent orientation programs, ensuring these activities are well-publicized and run smoothly.
- Collaborate with the admissions team to host in-person tours and information sessions that highlight the school’s IB curriculum and facilities.
- Oversee the production of annual reports, magazines, and other printed materials that communicate the school’s successes and initiatives.
Community and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with parents, alumni, prospective students, and the local community.
- Plan and execute outreach activities that promote the school’s involvement in community service and local events.
- Organize and attend events to represent the school within educational networks, government bodies, and local organizations.
- Collaborate with IB networks and educational conferences to strengthen the school's reputation and positioning.
Crisis Management:
- Manage communication strategies during crises, including drafting official statements and addressing media queries.
- Coordinate with the school leadership to ensure clear and timely communication to parents, students, and staff during emergencies or sensitive situations.
Internal Communication:
- Work closely with the school administration to ensure clear communication between faculty, staff, students, and parents.
- Assist with drafting and disseminating internal newsletters, announcements, and updates.
Public Affairs and Community Relations:
- Act as the liaison between the school and various community groups, government bodies, and educational associations.
- Promote the school’s achievements through participation in offline conferences, education fairs, and community engagements.
IB-Specific Communication:
- Promote the advantages of the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum to prospective families and local stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in public relations, marketing, or communication roles, preferably in an educational setting.
- Experience working with international or IB schools is a plus.
